What real-time data feeds will Dynamic Trader work with?

We have three versions of Dynamic Trader V.5 – an end-of-day (EOD) version (DT5-EOD) and a real-time version for Quote.com real-time data feed (DT5-RTQ) and eSignal real-time data feed (DT5-RTE). As explained below under the Data Formats question, DT5-EOD will read intraday data that is on your hard drive. Only the DT5-RTQ or DT5-RTE will accept data real-time from the Quote.com or eSignal data service.

The DT5-RTQ or DT5-RTE option is only available to owners of the DT5-EOD program. The DT5-RTQ or DT5-RTE is available for a $400 annual license fee.

If you have Trade Station 6 or 7, you can use our free TS data utility with DT5-EOD to update DT charts in real time from data on the TS6 charts. At this time, the utility does not work with TS2000i in real time. However, the utility for TS2000i and previous versions does update the data file when the bar is complete in TS such as every 5 minutes, 15 minutes etc.

What happens if I purchase the DT5-RTQ or DT5-RTE annual license and decide not to renew after a year?

The software Unlock Code we give you for DT5-RTQ or DT5-RTE will expire one year from purchase. If you choose not to renew the annual real-time license, we will provide you with a new DT5-EOD unlock code. The DT5-EOD program is a one time purchase and never expires.

What data formats does Dynamic Trader read?
Please be aware that there is a difference between a data supplier (the company that supplies the data) and the data format (the format of the data supplied by the data supplier).

End of Day Data Formats Read By Dynamic Trader V.5 (EOD)
AIQ (DTA), ASCII, CSI, Metastock, Computrac, TC2000 (V.3 and V.5), Mega Tech Pro, Tech Tools.

Intraday Data Formats Read By Dynamic Trader V.5 (EOD)
DT5-EOD program will read intraday data files that are saved to your hard drive including Gentick, ASCII and Metastock. The data does not update in real time.

We also provide Trade Station utilities with the DT5-EOD program that will post the data from Trade Station charts to your hard drive as an ASCII file. With TS8 the data updates in real time on the DT chart.

DT5-RTQ (Real-Time with Quote.com and eSignal Data Service)
For the true real-time experience, DT5-RTQ and DT5-RTE are available to owners of DT5-EOD for a $400 per annum license fee. DT5-RTQ DT5-RTE users must have a subscription to the Quote.com or eSignal data real-time data service.

Does Dynamic Trader Give Elliott Wave Counts on the Chart?

No. As I explain in detail in the DT5 Trading booklet, there are clearly defined and useful Elliott wave patterns in most markets about 50% of the time. All so-called Elliott Wave software forces wave counts in all situations when no useful wave count exists from a practical trading perspective. This misleads traders and is cause for a lot of bad trades.

What is the Dynamic Trader Trading Course?

Most software programs do not provide the user with the education to put the software into practice. We want you to have a complete background of the analysis methods and trading techniques that are possible with the Dynamic Trader Software, so we have provided you with a comprehensive trading course with the program.
The Dynamic Trader Trading Course is a comprehensive course that teaches the trader and investor all the analysis techniques found in the Dynamic Trader Software. Nowhere else has there been provided such a comprehensive education on time and price analysis and projection techniques.

What is the difference between the Dynamic Trading book and the Dynamic Trader Trading Course?

The Dynamic Trading book provides the foundational background of the Dynamic Trading approach to technical analysis and trading strategies. The Dynamic Trader Trading Course that is included with the software goes far beyond the book. The course expands on the time, price and pattern analysis taught in the book, and most importantly, teaches the user how to apply the routines and reports found in the software for practical trading strategies.
The book is included with the purchase of the Dynamic Trader Software and Trading Course. If you have purchased the book in advance, you will receive credit for the cost of the book against the cost of the full Dynamic Trader Software and Trading Course package.

 
What is included in the Dynamic Trader Software and Trading Course?

The DT package is much more than a unique technical analysis software. It is a complete practical, educational experience. The complete package includes the Dynamic Trader Software, Dynamic Trading book, Dynamic Trader Trading Course and a subscription to your choice of a Dynamic Trader Report. DT Report subscriptions include you choice of the DT Stock Report, DT Intraday Futures Report or DT Daily Futures Report. The DT Report subscription is an important part of the learning experience as you will see day by day how we apply the DT software and trading strategies to practical trading decisions in real life situations.

 
How long will it take me to learn to use Dynamic Trader?

Dynamic Trader includes many routines, particularly time and price reports and projections, not found in any other program. That is why we supply a comprehensive Trading Course along with the software program. We have taken a great deal of effort to make the Dynamic Trader Trading Course and User’s Guide comprehensive and clearly written. It shouldn’t take you long to master the concepts and routines provided in this unique software.
While I can’t tell you exactly how long it will take to master this material, I can promise you it will be the fastest route to understanding time and price analysis and many of the trading strategies of this unique and comprehensive trading approach.
